The front office let me down today. I have always received excellent and professional service, but not so much this time. I was given an estimate with unnecessary services like expensive gas and oil additives and an expensive cabin air filter that I didn't request. The cost to diagnose and repair a routine item was seven times more than another reputable shop. The experience was similar to a dealership, premium prices and upselling extras. My estimate also included a service that I recently completed at JAM that is only necessary every 30k, it was a clerical mistake, and the price was also fifty dollars more than it was six months ago. I always receive excellent work from the mechanics. The employees at JAM are very nice and courteous, and I trust them with my vehicle. But, not sure I'll go back. They let me down time time.

Excellent experience as always I just wish they were out here in Chesapeake or had Saturday hours. This is another update 10-26-22 to my original experience with Japanese Auto Master. I bought my 07 Toyota Yaris in there for service and once again they provided outstanding service, kept me informed, and they did the work for a great price. I would recommend them to anyone. I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander with the AC not working, it was blowing warm air. After much research and high ratings, I came across this business. Went on their website to send an email inquiring about getting it fixed and an estimated cost. They replied promptly, within a day. I set up an appt, when my dad and I dropped off the car, we were met with Joe the advisor. Told him our concerns and said he would give us a call once the car was finished. They sent us an estimated thru text and we were able to approve that est thru text which I thought was cool. The tech R. Bernier was awesome and was able to fix the AC! My dad and I also thought it was reasonable priced on how much he paid for. Overall, the staff was super nice, informative, very easy to schedule and would come again!

The employees are courteous, knowledgeable and prompt in providing thorough information regarding the repairs necessary to correct any problem you may have with your vehicle. Their work is completed on schedule, and I have always been satisfied with their performance.
